why gravy?

  • gravy train: an idiomatic expression referring to any lucrative endeavor; for emphasis, one can say the gravy train has biscuit wheels.

    From 2009-2011, I ate, cooked, and laughed my way through Southeast Asia as an international lady of leisure in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While there, the hubby and I started a family, and now we have a boy and a girl nicknamed Gravy Baby and Gravy Too.

    Today we live in Charleston, South Carolina, where we enjoy every deep-fried, bacon-wrapped minute.
